New 3D Game for Bud Ice

Working with the talented team at Marvellous and Diageo Ireland, we developed a very cool (excuse the pun) 3D game for Bud Ice, Below Zero.

The 3D game (for iPhone and iPad) puts the user in control of the flow of Bud Ice beer down the ice cold pipe. The timed game allows you to collect points as you go, as well as dodging obstacles such as ice blocks which could slow you down. You can then post your score to the leaderboard or your facebook page.

The app’ also has a handy bar finder function so that users can find the bars which serve their favourite drink (Ireland only) and, also filter their searches for free wi-fi, beer gardens, big screen etc.

So, if you are looking for somewhere great to meet your friends and drink a nice cold Bud Ice beer this summer, why not download this app’ and have some fun!

App’s of the Week

Here at ubinow, we like to do a weekly round up of the latest mobile applications to see what everyone else is doing, what works, what doesn’t work and, why.

Osmos currently tops our team’s favourite list! Winning both awards and rave reviews, playing it on the iPad explains why. It is a challenging yet addictive physics based game with fluid multi-touch controls and a great chilled electronic soundtrack. The best we have seen in a long time.

Sim City Deluxe The release of SimCity Deluxe is hoping to improve on the original which admittedly had some teething problems.
Players can become the mayor of their own town, which they must zone for business and residents. Players must also ensure that all citizens are equipped with utilities such as water and electricity. Fun and better than the original.

London Cycle: Maps and Route At last London has a cycle scheme! And to top it off, there are a number of app’s trying to provide useful functionality for all those wanting to hire one of Boris’ eagerly awaited bikes. The best so far seems to be by the young guys at FIPLAB. The app’ allows users to plan routes and locate the closest cycle stations, as well as displaying  real-time cycle availability for each station which will no doubt come in handy. We give it a big thumbs up.
